  The repair manuals all say to remove the plug, fit a grease nipple, squirt
the oil, then replace the plug.  So, I'd figure your right that all
spitfires came with a plug bolt.  The annoying thing that my PO, and I
imagine many others, did was not replace the plug but leave the grease
nipple on.  I'm sure I could dig up a few of these plugs if I looked around,
but I've never bothered.  I suppose now would be a good time to do that,
since I'm rebuilding the suspension...
