Thanks Tom, I'll check that out too.  I'm really hoping its the oil feed 
holes being clogged.  Does anyone know the process for changing out the 
rocker arm shaft just in case.  I'm almost afraid to look, but I'll be 
brave, maybe Friday morning I have most of the day off.  Jane

Hello Jane,

One possibility is that the set-screw that holds the rocker shaft onto
the pedestals has come loose, allowing the oil feed holes from the rocker
pedestal at the rear and the shaft itself to become mis-aligned; this
would cut off most or maybe all oil flow to the rocker shaft.

If your rocker shaft has silvery-looking fine dust around the rockers,
bad news, it has probably been running dry for some time, which wears big
grooves that look like dents into the shaft - which must then be replaced.
