What made my situation even worse was the design of the alloy wheel which had
the nuts way down inside a recess that was about 3" deep and just large
enought in diameter for a socket.  Impossible to get tools and welding stuff
in there.  Leave it to designers to baffle us!  They were neat looking
wheels, though.
