There's been a few recent posts about the rear tube shock kits which mount
to the body - all of them saying this type of conversion is no good.

I have one of these kits (ex-Rimmer Bros) still in the box which I was
planning on fitting sometime soon... or never. Does anyone have anything
GOOD to say about this type of conversion or is it ALL bad? There must be a
few TR6s out there that have been running this setup for a while.

Don,

I didn't say it was bad, I said it was not so much better than the levers
that it was worth the work to install it (along with the holes in the
body, etc). If you were going to do some serious roa racing or auto
crossing then go for it but for just cruising or joy riding the levers
are about the same. And a lot less fuss.
