Well, I certainly think it is more accurate to measure the pressure as close as 
possible
to the end point, or as close as possible to the most delicate/sensitive item.  
But
for these cars we really only have what S. T. gave us.  In this case, we have
to rely on the info they gave us.  If the oil pressure is too low, then 
something needs
to be done to correct it.  Otherewise, we hope that the pressure reading is an 
accurate
indicator that the parts are getting the proper lubrication....  Not always the 
case....
