OK, OK.  According to Piggott the badge bar was a factory option and most of 
them were made/supplied by "Desmo."  That said --I have seen only one that I 
recall and that was at Savannah in '92.  That one was not an original.  

However, in the dim recesses of my memory I seem to remember seeing "grill 
guards" (they may have been badge bars) on TR4/4A's in the '60's when my car 
was new.   At that time my car was the family car and every time I wanted to 
puchase an accessory one of the kids needed new shoes or something so I never 
bought one.  Cheers.
