I have a 72 TR6 OD in my 66 TR4A which allows
overdrive in 2nd gear. I have found that the OD in
2nd is very usefull when I need to accelerate quickly
(I am draging someone who is look down at my 4A) and
need to fill that gap between 2nd and 3rd. Having
done that though I need to disingage the 2nd OD when
shifting to 3rd (or I am like in 4th) a nifty trick.
If this sounds like a ridiculous risk of a delicate
OD, then perhaps you are better off without OD in 2nd.
