Hi Justin....

There are people that put such things on their Triumphs... and they swear by
them.

I think they're a bad idea.

If you're one of those people that is going to modernize your TR... put in a
high tech starter.. convert to an alternator... install electronic ignition,
etc... then fine... go for it.

But if you're not... and part of what you love about the car is it's
simplicity... then don't complicate matters with an electronic fan.

The old generators to hold up well to such a draw... for one thing.

Secondly... It adds yet one more thing that could fail.

To me... the answer is making the stock system as efficient as possible...
bolster it with the use of (optional equipment type) oil coolers... adding
improved shrouding in front of the radiator (a period correct improvement)... a
richer mix during hot weather... and maybe the use of Red Line's
Water-Wetter... etc...

Justin... My TR 4A cooling system is bone stock... for the most part...
including a stock fan... and it never overheats... even in the hottest weather
... stuck in L.A. traffic or driving across the desert at 104 degrees.... etc.

If it was my car... I'd return the fan... and try my hand at making the stock,
TROUBLE FREE, system work for you... adding only non-electronic optional
equipment/period type improvements as necessary.

Just my humble opinion.
