After mulling it over, I think the problem is that you are comparing a
'non-smog' Holley carb to one of the very last non-computerized smog
carbs.  A 'smogged-out' conventional carb will make your ZS look quite
simple.  The shop manual for the 2-bbl on my Chevy takes some 40
diagrams just to name all the different parts, and has 15 separate
adjustment procedures just for the choke !
