Hi All,
FWIW I have had Panasports on my TR250 since 1993 and I have truly enjoyed
them. They are very light weight and the powdercoat/clearcoat finish still
looks great today. I have been to Panasport headquarters several times and
organized several local Triumph club members to bring their cars for fitment
checking of the various Panasport rim sizes. Older Panasports did sometimes
"rub" as some other listers have mentioned but this has been corrected for
some time now (the offset was modified). While I had my TR250 there they
also trial fitted the 16" Panasports which had no clearance problems at all
and looked very "cool" on my car. IMHO the Panasports are machined and
finished much nicer than the minilites but as always that is a matter of
personal choice. Before I got my Panasports I had a set of the
dealer/factory option 8 spoke mini lights on my TR250. These were also light
weight but a real pain to take care of as they were continually
tarnishing/discoloring plus they were only 5" wide so it limited my tire size
choices.
