The "List" comes to the rescue again. Thanks to FT and Randall I found
the anchor point for the accelerator return spring (it had been bent
flush to the firewall making it almost indistinguishable). Randall even
offered to supply me with the wiper motor mounting bracket on which I
could  find no order info. Again, this list has proven an invaluable
tool to those of us with common interests.
