A petrol stop-cock is a great little item that, in addition to the
technical points Randall suggested, may save your sidescreen TR from getting
very far when it gets stolen. I can remember a few times when I came back
and drove less than a block when it died. Then I remembered I had turned
off the petrol stop-cock and forgotten to turn it back on again.

Like Randall, I changed from a "cork" that worked well for 10 years (1982
was a great year for Bordeau wine and corks too) and I now have a short
length of gas line in it to replace the "cork".
