Richard,
I painted mine gloss black which appeared to be the original color choice
after I carefully cleaned 25 years of dirt and other schmutz off the old
buckets. Since these parts were supplied by independent venders during
assembly, it's likely that a vender may have used more of a semi-gloss
black......I like the look of gloss.
