So tell me Darrell, which 50's Triumph do you drive every day when there is
a half foot of snow on the ground ?
How bout when it's 115F in the shade ?
My 59 TR3A gets driven in both of those conditions and without some of my
modifications, I believe there is no way to keep it reliable under such
extremes.
(OK, I moved away from the snow 25 years ago, so it was a different TR3A I
drove to work every day in the snow. But, my current car has been driven in
temps below 20F.)
Enjoyment is a relative term, too. You may enjoy doing 4-wheel drifts at
20mph on those original skinny bias-ply (unholy expensive) tires ... but I
don't. Doing them at 85 is a lot more fun, to me.
As always, it's your car, it should please you. I'll do the same, and
hopefully we'll get along just fine.
