Dave,
I don't even have a Triumph club in my area! Here's a couple of
suggestions that might help.

1. Make it a requirement that each VTR associated club host a convention
on a rotating basis. This is how the northwest clubs (Annual All
Triumph Drive-In) and the Southwestern clubs (Triumphest) do it.

2. Make allowances for the things to be combined with existing events so
that the clubs are not overly burdened with having to do two major
events within a few years.

Joe

country (mostly the Midwest). That in itself sounds slanted toward the
East.

If the preponderance of the folks willing to step up and put in the
extreme
amount of work to host a VTR are to the east of the Rockies then a
preponderance of the VTR's are going to be held east of the Rockies.
This
is not a VTR policy. This is the result of the willingness of
individuals
and groups to DO THE WORK. Remember 2003? VTR was held at TRF. This is
because Charles stepped up when nobody else would.

The "slant" is a result of population densities and the fact that the So
Cal group host's its own Triumphfest (which, by the way, when are you
going
to hold one of those more convenient to the rest of us?) which
diminishes
the need/desire for folks in the SW to host a VTR.

The best way to have a VTR held in your area is to host one.

Dave
