Plan B sounds like the way to go!
 
FWIW, The Standard 20 Van and Pickup SPC continues that same error of  
crediting the 101048 pulley as a TR2 part as well as the others mentioned. But  
then, so does the Vanguard III SPC. Oddly, there's no such mention in my TR2, 3 
 & 
3A SPC. :-)
