Not completely relevant .. but I can speak of problems with battery chargers
and being very careful with the old style batteries ... I now remove the
caps, not completely, just loose because once upon a time I had to use a
battery charger at my friends house at a lake in the Sierra Nevada's in my
TR4. Well, we were standing around outside BS'ing and suddenly heard a loud
explosion come from the TR ... popped the bonnet and saw the battery had
blown up ... it shot those cell caps into the underside of the bonnet that I
could read the raised lettering that was on the caps in the bonnet paint.
That was fun !
