My wife and I were out for a drive in her TR250 last night when it
started making strange noises. Sort of a gravely noise. It doesn't
seem to be coming from the engine.
My gut feeling is that it is from the drive shaft u-joints. On both the
front and back u-joint, I can move each a little in one plane for
example if the u-joint is positioned like + I can move it up and down
but not sideways. Is any movement too much? If so, does anyone know a
u-joint that might be available at a local parts store that would fit?
Also, the dust cap that covers the splines was very loose. I think if I
take it out I can pull it apart and regrease it without too much
problem. There are a couple of washers inside it. Are those available.
( I don't see them in VB or TRF catalogs).
