Thanks for the responses. I did something that I regret:

The day after I posted my need for a radiator to the list, I went by an
crusty old repairmans (not HC) Radiator Shop. Being desperate and
gullible, I let the man talk me into making it as good as it was before
despite the 60 model original radiator needed 5-6 front rows (complete with
leaks) pinched off and soldered.

When I got home, my email from the list gave me several good
leads for good radiators. Wanting to reverse what I had set in motion, I
tried to call my old guy only to get his fax machine; the next morning I
went by there and he got confrontational when I wanted my radiator back.
Then I learned that he had worked, half the night on it. Regrettably, I
paid him. Ill now have to bite my lip and install the thing that
doubtfully will do the job. He did guarantee it for 6 months. I didnt
think about the fact there wont be 100 degree days in February. Also, my
newly rebuilt motor sits in a TR3 thats only 75% done (body panels have yet
to be installed)!

I think Im gonna hook it all up and run the engine to check it
out (my temp guage works). Should I make any demands on my rebuilt engine
(with only 2 hrs. of run time thusfar) in order to check out this radiator?
I dont know what Mr. Crusty would need for proof if it doesnt cool,
anyhow? Should I just lick my $85 wounds and learn a lesson? Also, his
receipt says warranty instead of guarntee; if thats anything, I forgot.

Thanks, Paul Dorsey
