I think you will like the 4" duct hose JC Whitney sells. I have one on my '69 and it looks very nice. It is a black rubberized fabric and not shiny or aluminum in appearance.

They are the fuel inlet valves to the float bowls which are closed by the floats while floating on top of the gasoline in the float bowls. The Winner's Circle sells them.
