My SV has two holes in the trunk lid and the plate bolts direct to the trunk lid just above the handle, my parts car SV is the same. Jim E

You may want to take a look at the part of the latch that bolts to the hood while you are at it this bit was broken on my car. I have heard this is not uncommon. Jim

I think you should torque the head and go over the valve adjustment again. I am always amazed at how loose the head bolts are after running a new motor. A compression test is a good idea I am betting

There are a bunch of shocks that will bolt in whether the valveing is good is another question. 67 camaro shocks front and rear should bolt in also Front: Buick GN 85/88, Regal 68/87 KYB KG4508, 4513

Hello Paul, All the 1725's I have taken apart have had a baffle and most of the baffles have been cracked. You should put it back it helps keep oil around the pickup and may also keep oil from flying
