Believe it or not, U-joints are not supposed to be straight. The output shaft of the transmission should be parallel with the pinion shaft, but not on the same line. Check the specs on the u-joint. I

All this about transplants and I thought about the proper u-joint installation. almost always installed a u-joint with grease fittings so as the drive shaft turns the joint that the grease fitting is
