rusted need for taking I've let white vinegar sit in an old flathead motor before, kept topping it off every day for a three weeks. Kept giving the pistons a few taps each day, finally broke loose. B

I've had to use a sledge before, but I don't think mine was as stuck as yours sounds. Once they broke loose I was able to drive them up. I've read that on a really stuck block to sit the oil pan surf

Please don't try the BBQ fluid solution! If you don't crack the block you might hurt somebody. There is no "easy" way to do this. Maybe a machine shop could rig some kind of a press but cost would be

I had a similar problem with a seized MG motor. I tried everything from penetrating oil to Coca-Cola. Finally I used that Aerokroil (great stuff), let it soak for a few days, heated the block around

a as you I did this once with a 4x4 (wood not truck) cut down to fit in the cyllinder, which I then hit with the sledgie. The wood kept the cyllinder walls from being marred. As Grant says, it does
