On my 1973 TR6, I used a Wahler Thermo Switch that I sourced from Performance Parts. They call it "Porsche 944 Low Temperature Thermo Fan Switch P/N 924491". It was about $16.00. (Pelican Parts also

Am I missing something? Why not just install a SPST switch under the dash or in some unobtrusive place that will control the fan? You can turn it on when the temp gauge gets too high. Or turn it on
