I have an Addco bar (bought from JC Whitney, of course) sitting around. I've never installed it - my concern has always been that it will cause *more* inside rear wheel lift in corners, since it furt

my concern has always been that it will cause *more* inside rear wheel lift in corners, since it further will limit suspension travel. Yes the bar is going to tend to pick up the inside wheel when it

The answer to that question, as I see it, depends on whether you're lifting a wheel due to roll rate times body roll, or whether the rear suspension is running out of travel. On a stock TR3, the rea

Amici: Interesting. I never ran a rear sway bar on my TR3 (but I do have traction bars). John Harkness had one on his TR3A for years. Then one day he took it off. After racing the car without, I thin

Owing to the fact that there are 3 different rear suspension arrangements for GT6's it is very helpful to know what sort of setup we are talking about. Each of these three setups have their own pecul

I formed the impression the solid axle cars do NOT want a rear bar, but the IRS cars will benefit from having one. I find it hard to draw a comparison between a solid axle TR and a GT6.

I would agree that solid axle cars do not like a stiff rear bar if any at all. IRS does as our TR4A. For information on GT6s (one of my favorite cars) see if you can contact Ric Cline jr. in Walnut G

Just to be clear, I was only trying to illustrate my point that "it depends". I've heard from lots of people that solid-axle TRs do better on the track w/o a rear bar; they're no doubt right. Howeve

If the suspension woes of TRs only came down to sway bars it would be a great thing. Depending on what anyone has done to the front end, a sway bar in the back could be good or bad. With the typical

I use a 16,7mm sway bar at front and a 16,0mm at the rear axle at my TR4. The rear one is adjustable. On curved tracks I make the rear one stiffer to give a little overstear to the car. On wet tracks
