Dave, The engine bay color should match the body color; however, like you, I've seen a lot of flat black engine bays. In fact, mine has been painted flat black. The flat back does hide a lot of greas

Because you can buy black in the hardware store in aerosol cans. Unless you have just recently painted the car the oods of having the right color paint that actually matches is slim to none. Getting
