I had a rotor problem recently. Turns out the screw that holds the cam assembly to the shaft was missing. This allowed the whole assembly including rotor to ride up and down on the shaft. Judging fro

Pertronix is the way to go. Both my healeys are on it and they both run smoother and have better fuel consupmption with the Pertronix system. The units they sell now are pretty much bullet proof...

I have run Ptronix on the last tow cars I owned for about 7 years total now with no problems. That being said as David Jones says a properly sorted stock ignition system is pretty reliable as well. A
