The brake light switch on my 100 does not make a circuit unless I step on the pedal very hard. I don't see anything about adjusting it and wonder if anything short of replacing it can be done. BTW I

Hi Michael, I've been hearing this quite a bit lately. It's really strange, the original switches last something like 40 years plus. So far, my very original hydraulic switch still operates with very

Mike, in case you missed it I posted a page on adapting a $20 mechanical street rod switch to the pedal box and it is adjustable so you can set the arm to turn on the lights as soon as you move the p

When you replaced the switch, did you flush your brake system? You should do this periodically. The switch will accumulate crap in the system if there is loose rust, water, and rubber flakes floatin

Michael: The general concensus seems to be to install a switch in the brake pedal. I did this using a micro switch and a homemade bracket attached by the screws that hold the door assembly to the air

That's probably it. How much is "some resistance?" It should be in the neighborhood of an ohm. I would alligator-clip up a test socket with a stoplight bulb, right next to the switch. Then you'll kno
