I don't mean to understate the tediousness of all those nuts and bolts, but the
actual installation of the tranny is straight forward. Just make sure you have
a helper to guide it in there without having the clutch fork lever hit the R
floorboard. My vote is to do it yourself.

Subject: TR-6 Transmission installation

I just got a call from my mechanic saying that my transmission was rebuilt
and OD installed. What I am debating is if I should install the transmission
myself or have him do it. He told me that it would take 6 hours but that is
including removal of all the carpets, tunnel cover etc... I can basically do
all that myself but was wondering if I can install the tranny myself.

Is it a straight forward install? Or are there adjustment I need to do?

Thanks,

Patrick
