I came in late on this thread but Apple is resleaving my M/C in brass for
$ 120, I should get it back this week, I'll let you know how it turns out.
They tried to sell me an overbored (0.020" ?) cylinder I think because it's
easier for them and they can ship immediately since they take your cylinder
in as core. Also, since the cylinder is stepped, resleaving must be done in
2 operations costing twice as much making them less competitive.
But I wanted brass for corrosion resistance and didn't want to have to
source (or remember to get) oversized seals later.
