Kendall:
I use silicone in my brakes and clutch hydraulics. Both systems operate
flawlessly and have for the past two years. I've spent too much time, money and
sweat on my engine compartment to expose the paint to conventional brake fluid.
I should point out, however, that silicone is a bit expensive - about $16/qt.
I'm not trying to convince you which to use; I'm just letting you know which
fluid works for me.
