Wow Marie, you certainly know how to stir the pot!

My first inclination is to say that "Anywhere in Cen Div" is the greatest
autox venue in the country, given their most successful BFG Series, etc.
That's an 8 event series in itself, plus always a fine Divisional event.
And if you want more than your regional series, you can drive 1.5/2 hours
and be at any one of 3 or 4 events in different regions.

However, being in Texas this past 3 years I have learned that there is a
great autocrssing tradition in SouthWest Division, Texas Region in
particular, with it's 9 event regional series, and the annual Divisional
event. Yep, we have a couple of great sites, draw 100 to 165 drivers per
event, always get 4 runs on challenging courses, and the comradarie is
outstanding. Plus, if we have an off weekend, and want to attend an event,
we have Equipe Rapide right here in the Metroplex who has an event once
each month, College Station, just a couple of hours away, ditto
Shereveport, La. and if we want to drive a couple hundred miles, There's
Austin Spokes, and Oklahoma Region at Norman. Our season begins in mid
March, ends mid November. But if we get an itch, just drive down to
Houston Region, they never stop...

Where's the best place in the country (sorry Dennis, I am talking US here)
to live for autocrossing? Make the case for your region or your favorite
region.
