        Right now he is running on 14x6 wheels with 205/55-14 tires. The
difference between that and 13x9 wheels with 225/50-13 tires is very
significant. Probably will feel like as much of a difference as going to
race tires from street tires. Those tall 55 series tires are simply too
squishy for an SP car, and shortening the sidewalls along with
stretching them out over a wider wheel will make so much of a
difference. 

        I gotta say, go for the wheels and tires first. You already have some
kind of suspension going on there, and you will likely want to change
the spring rates anyway once you get used to the new wheel/tire setup.
