     Unfortunately, I have had to deal with this stuff.  I have USAA 
insurance and I live in Texas if it makes a difference.  USAA totally 
covered everything and my premium hardly went up.  I still have 
premiums lower than some of my co-workers with no claims/tickets.  I 
got my check promptly too.
     When you talk to USAA, have the rulebook with you.  Quote them 
the blurb in the book about how autox is a non-speed driver's skill 
event.  Assuming that the accident happened on private property, make 
sure they understand that.  The worker I spoke with kept asking me 
what intersection the accident happened at.  
     Assuming that SCCA knows about the incident, you might seek 
advice from Risk Management.  They might be able to tell you which 
industry buzzwords to avoid.  By all means avoid the R word!!  We 
absolutely do not _race_.  We participate in a 100% legal non-speed 
driver's skill event.

Now stuffing skeletons back into the closet,  :-(
