In PCA it is tough to get into drivers education days and club races
too... I just got a card in the mail that I am 11th on the waiting list
for the Watkins Glen club race. I mailed my entry on the
morning of the first day. Maybe I should feel lucky, as
the entry fee was $395. Now I can attend the NE Divisional
solo-II in Rome, NY the same weekend instead, and eat too.
p.s. I have to brag a bit, hope you don't mind...
won my first race at the home track (Lime Rock) Saturday,
an SCCA regional Volvo Historic Series race, from pole
position. Will be running two more races next Monday
and Tuesday there along with the Shelby club and Mo-Hud SCCA.
The $85 race entry fee for historic cars can't be beat, thanks Volvo!
