And as such, all four must comply with the entire Solo II rulebook as
required in SIIR 1.1, including SIIR 6.9 requiring scales. However, in
exigent circumstances I would presume the majordomo in charge of a
Division's Solo II program (Divisional Solo Steward, Mama Sam for us) can
waive certain requirements as he/she sees the need to do so.

And on that impound note (required by 6.10) the rulebook specifies no time
limit. The half hour you customarily see at Nationals is, I believe, in the
supp regs. Part of the "make it fun" aspect of our series is to make that
impound as minimal a hassle as possible. Thus, the impound in effect begins
in grid as you return from your final run, and concludes when the grid chief
(or whoever is designated to do so) releases the class -- which is usually
upon determination that everyone in that class is happy with everyone else's
legality and no issues are expected to be raised.
