My Opinion - it was great. And it will get better!

Phil Osborne and his crew (even the knuckledragger; perhaps especially the
knuckledragger, who put in hours above and beyond the call) did a fantastic
job for a first time effort. All the moreso since Phil did not really get to
invent it, but was handed a partially-done deal and told to make it happen.

As much a part of it as anything was their unfailingly pleasant, polite and
helpful demeanor through the whole affair, even after the paddock got
smushed down to about 40% of original.

I counted. He actually had something like 754 spaces to work with.

The subsequent events of the week tended to mask a lot of the paddock
police's planning and effort, but it was still such a good thing I know we
are really going to like his 2002 plan.

Had it not been for the tragic events of the week, the paddock plan would
have stood out as one of the major notable aspects of the 2001 Nationals.
