Is a better P/W ratio really the _only_ advantage that SS cars have? They also
tend to be better balanced with a lower CG than GS. That should equate to more
nimble even under impaired traction! Many cars outside of SS have good balance
and low CG (Miata comes to mind), but when you get to GS I think it is
_generally_ true that the cars are not as well balanced as SS cars.

I'm left thinking it's a combination of good drivers in GS, aided by a
favorable PAX.

Here's a good explanation. THE SURFACE STILL SUCKS--BIG TIME!!!!! When
suposedly low horsepower cars(GS) beat SS and AS cars, and they didn't
miss beating ESP by much either, then there is something wrong with the
course design(not true on this course), in this case, the surface is so
slippery the high HP cars can't get the power down, so, they(SS-AS-ESP)
cannot use the only advantage they have.
