The GS did have a great day as we all agree.  The reason for this is just 
suspension
in my opinion.  The GS cars have very sloppy suspensions for the street and do 
not
get affected much at the tire level by being thrown back and forth on a fairly
uneven surface.  On the other hand try throwing a higher horse power stiffer
suspension car around while keeping full throttle.  Bad things happen.  So in
essence the GS cars kept more momentum around the track.  I hate to even look 
at pax
times these days.  Just my two cents.
