Can anyone out there give dates for the tractor manufacture?
We can infer some things from this passage:
In 1958 Alick Dick had told his directors that to remain competitive
Standard-Triumph should be capable of making 261,000 vehicles (of which
100,000 should be tractors) by 1960/61. ... Even after the tractor
business had been sold, the sales departments were talkinga bout a
selling potential of nearly 185,000 by 1960/61.
There's another passage that talks about Rover being interested in
buying S-T in 1959 after hearing that the tractor responsibilities
would soon be gone. So it sounds like they went away in 59 or 60.
