|elegant, and wrong? :-)
I'm not sure I understand this. Many 'modern' live rears are
connected to the chasis with rigid links. They use coil springs,
but I think you might achieve the same thing with your half leaf design.
( of course, were it a really good thing to do, it could have been
done in steel 20 years ago, no? )
