Hi,
  Are these spoof answers or what ??

1 BSW is British Standard Whitworth
9 FENDER is bumper
10 SHOCK ABSORBER is SHOCK ABSORBER
11 CHOKE is CHOKE !!
16 driveshaft is prop or propeller shaft (driveshafts connect the
diff with the driving wheels)
17 a generator is usually an alternator (as in my 23 year old TVR)
or maybe a dynamo in an MG
