There have been a number of articles written on this swap. It appears
to be fairly straight forward. A friend of mine has done it to a 1600 and
he had no problems whatsoever. Get a hold of a copy of A-Antics from the
Michigan chapter of NAMGAR. It has a number of articles on the swap.

>> -Converted rear axle/brakes to MGB

Can't help you on this one - I've never seen it done. I don't think
you'd gain much braking power - although I assume it's being done for a better
gear ratio.

>> -Converted to MGB front hubs & disk brakes

Piece of cake. You just swap in all the MGB front end stuff: Kingpins,
A-arms, shocks and hubs. My 1600 actually came to me like that and I changed
it back.

>> -fitted MGB dual master cylinder and/or power brakes.

Again I think the MGB master wouldn't gain you much in terms of
braking power. Plus the mounting is completely different. I'd stick with
the dual MGA master but use the larger 1600 fluid reservoir.

Hope this helps...
