I'm afraid I don't have any back to back experience on a similar engine.
I use a Huffaker now, but the engine has also been opened out to 260ci
and runs a different cam and carb.  However, despite my reservations before
the engine was dynoed, this setup doesn't feel very peaky.  Torque is 
very flat from 2500 to 5500.  It does rise quite steeply at low revs though
going from 180lbft at 1000rpm to 267lbft at 2500rpm in a fairly linear
manner.
