The problem is not to go overboard with your spares kit. I loaded my car
for the Solvang trip from San Francisco. When I stood back from my car, I
noticed the front end was waaay up in the air because of all the stuff in
the trunk. So out went most of the stuff to bring the front end down! I'm
going to build a storage bin for the front.
Best thing is to have a buddy system, caravaning with several other
roadsters so you can share parts. Actually, the best thing is to make sure
the car is in good shape before you go. Then all you need to carry is the
minimal duct tape, fire extinguisher, flashlight, fluids and a cellphone.
