Anybody have pictures of this kind of setup on the later model 2000? There
is not bracket of any kind on the pax side of my engine, so I assume the
air pump is toast. There are two horizontally level holes in the block
that look like a bracket would slap right on, but the top slide bracket
looks to be a challenge. As they say, a picture is worth a thousand
words, especially to the uninformed.....

This might come from a response of mine, so for clarification -
There are two brackets. The rear bracket is part of the engine mount. The
front bracket is the triangular piece that bolts to the front cover. I
used
the original (air pump) engine mount bracket on mine with the stock
alternator. I don't remember if I used the air pump or alternator front
(Triangle) bracket or if it even matters. You can try the alternator
bracket turned over on the other side to see if it will line up if you
don't
still have an air pump front bracket. Because of the length difference of
the pivoting "ear" on the stock alternator, I had to make shims out of
metal
pipe (could have stacked a bunch of washers) to adjust the front bracket
spacing.
I used the air pump slider bracket also.

The alt bracket is part of the engine mount in the later cars. The air
pump
bracket may be able to be used but it's shorter than the early bracket I
have and that's why the Chrysler alt was used. The air pump slide adjuster
can be used I do believe. When I finally get my engine back from the
machine
shop I'll check it out.
