Kevin, What you want preferably is the short starter. You also want to cut
out the sheet metal by the area where the starter is, this way you can make
a starter change without having to remove the carburetors, exhaust manifold
etc. On later model cars some came with this area cut out from what I hear.
I don't have the dimensions for you, but know that someone on the list sure
will have them
