There are 175/70R-14s available from a few manufacturers.
 
There is an interplay between the size (175, 185, etc.) and the aspect ratio, 
60, 65, 70.  A 175 60 would be very small, but I haven't seen one, I think a 
185/65 and a 175/70 are very close in circumference, but the 175 is narrower.

Is there a link to a chart for tire / wheel combinations? I checked the
archives but the discussions made my eyes glaze over.... I tried though
because I know this is asked frequently. 

I have stock rims (I'm pretty sure) and want tires to fit for "unspirited
driving", contrary to most of you :-) . I have 185 14 tires on the car now
but they seem to have a close tolerance to the fenders. 

Any help appreciated.
