What do you mean by "confirmed fuel starvation"? Do you mean "Yes, it is
definitely fuel starvation" or that you checked it for fuel starvation and it
is fine? I'm gathering that it is "yes, confirmed the problem is fuel
starvation" but wanted to be sure...

Confirmed fuel starvation. All ignition items check. Timing is good. No
vacuum
leaks.Perfect fuel pressure. Engine will climb past 3000 if I pull the choke
full lowering the jets.
Pulled the screens at the floats. Cleaned them, but they we not bad. I think
my floats are not set correctly. My float bowls have what I believe are
called
gross jets. These have a ball valve instead of the normal pin. They flow more
fuel but seem to close a bit quicker than the pins. Does anyone know if they
need to be set differently than the normal floats?
Thanks
Jon Carlisle

Jon,

Put a vacuum gauge on it and watch it when the engine starts to sputter.
If it drops, it is probably fuel related. if it stays up, check ignition.

Make sure the polarity of the coil is correct. the terminal marked "-"
should go to the distributor.

Peace,
Pat
