I sent this earlier, I didnt see it hit the list.
I was going to clear the valve cover because I plan to paint the area between
the fins black.
I didn't know the about the rest, I commented more below..
They now offer bar keepers friend in liquid form, which was perfect for this
purpose!
The wire brush I used was a small hand held one that I bought at the local
menards (home depot type store). I wanted a small brush because I also used
it to get into the ribs of the 1600 valve cover.
I did not use any polished metal protector. Is this recommended? I figure
now that the 40 years of grime is gone, a quick rub down should do the trick
(that's what he said)
